The Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars battle it out from TIAA Bank Stadium as the first day of Super Wild Card Weekend draws to a close. It’s all been Chargers so far, as Brandon Staley’s side secured a 27-7 halftime lead.
Trevor Lawrence had as rough a first half as it gets. On his first 16 overtakes, the Jaguars quarterback completed four for his teammates and four for the Chargers. The former No. 1 overall pick was intercepted four times in the first half – three were recorded by Asante Samuel Jr. Lawrence became the fifth quarterback to throw three interceptions in a playoff quarter since 1991but he was the first to do it in a first quarter.
Lawrence did lead a seven-play, 47-yard drive that ended with an Evan Engram touchdown just before halftime, but there’s plenty of work to do in the second half.
